Set it once. Every console. Every shift.
The S D200 Features Management App gives supervisors one place to set, standardize, and lock how every S D200 wireless base performs, so dispatchers can stay focused on the call instead of the equipment.
The supervisor problem
Every shift change is a chance for settings to drift. A mic level gets nudged. A mode button gets bumped while someone adjusts volume, and suddenly the PTT stops working mid-shift. Beeps pile on top of radio traffic. None of it is anyone’s fault, and all of it lands on you.
The Features Management App puts those settings back in your hands. Configure each unit once, lock what shouldn’t change, and give your dispatchers a console that works the same way every time they sit down.
Benefits
Consistent audio across every shift
Set speaker, microphone, and radio receive baselines for your whole center. Dispatchers can still fine-tune their own listening volume on the pistol grip, but everyone starts from the same standard.
Stop accidental changes before they become outages
Lock the unit into analog/PTT or USB mode, disable the mode button on the base, and lock the base mic controls. The most common setup problem, an accidental mode switch that disables PTT, simply can’t happen.
Start with settings tested on your radio
Level 3 on one radio console doesn’t sound like level 3 on another. SHG worked directly with radio manufacturers and agencies to build receive-volume presets matched to your platform, so you start from a tested baseline instead of trial and error.
A quieter, calmer console
Turn off PTT button and volume wheel beeps that compete with radio traffic. Keep sidetone on so dispatchers hear a low level of their own voice and know the line is live.
More runtime when you need it
Switch to narrowband mode to reduce interference in busy rooms and add roughly 30 to 45 minutes of battery life per full charge.
Secure by design
The app is built for supervisors and administrators, and connects through the USB interface cable included with every S D200. Settings are managed directly at the unit.
What you can control
| Setting | What it does | Why supervisors use it |
|---|---|---|
| Battery level | Shows the charge level of the connected unit. | Quick health check during setup and maintenance. |
| Speaker volume | Sets how loud callers sound to the dispatcher. | A consistent listening baseline for every position. |
| Microphone volume | Sets how the dispatcher sounds to callers. | Callers and officers hear dispatchers clearly, without repeats. |
| Receiver volume | Low, medium, or high radio receive baseline matched to your console brand. | Correct radio audio from day one. |
| Bandwidth | Wideband (default) for fuller audio and range, or narrowband. | Less interference in crowded rooms and 30–45 more minutes of battery. |
| Default mode | Locks the unit in analog/PTT or USB mode. | Prevents accidental switching that disables PTT. |
| Mode button | Enables or disables the mode button on the base. | Removes the most common cause of setup errors. |
| Button type | Tells the unit how to handle PTT when connected by USB to PC-based dispatch software. | PTT works correctly in USB-based setups. |
| Sidetone | Lets dispatchers hear a low level of their own voice. | Confirms the line is live; many dispatchers prefer it. |
| PTT button beep | Turns the PTT beep on or off. | Less noise on top of radio traffic. |
| Volume wheel beep | Turns the pistol grip volume wheel beep on or off. | A quieter console. |
| Mic volume control | Enables or disables the +/– mic buttons on the base. | Keeps the mic level your agency set for officers. |
Every setting includes a built-in “?” help tip explaining what it does.

Built around the S D200
The app manages a wireless base designed around how dispatch actually works.
- One headset for phone and radio. Talk to callers hands-free and press PTT to reach units in the field.
- Up to 200 feet line of sight. Move freely to pull files, audit calls, or support a trainee.
- Hot-swappable battery. Swap in a fresh battery within 3 minutes and the call stays live.
- Spoken battery status. A quick press announces battery percentage, with an automatic spoken warning when it’s time to swap.
- At-a-glance battery light. Green, yellow, red on the pistol grip.
- Spare battery charging bank. Snap-together charging plates keep fresh batteries ready for every position.
- Conference mode. Bring a trainer or supervisor onto a live call wirelessly.
- USB and PTT in one unit. No separate model needed for USB-based setups.
- Lightweight, high-strength build. Designed for long shifts.

FAQ
Who should use the Features Management App?
Supervisors and administrators who set up and maintain S D200 units. Dispatchers don’t need it for day-to-day use.
Can dispatchers still adjust their own volume?
Yes. Dispatchers can adjust their listening volume on the pistol grip. The app sets the baseline and controls which base settings can be changed.
Why don’t I see every setting in the app?
Available settings depend on your S D200 unit version. Contact SHG support to confirm what your units support.
Does the app install software updates to my units?
No. The app configures settings on each unit. It does not install updates.
